All of our existing street trading licences and associated charges are suspended with effect from 16 March 2020. Markets Team has carried out assessments of each market and street trading locations to make sure social distancing rules are in place and that our markets and street trading sites are safe for traders and customers.
If you are a licensed trader (forecourt kiosk or street), registered casual, or registered assistant and you wish to trade on any of our street markets; we can issue you with a temporary street trading licences issued on a daily and weekly basis. This trading is currently free of charge. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know whether you are interested in returning to trade.
If you are hoping to trade, you will need to provide details of the:
- market or street trading location you wish to trade at
- goods that you would like to offer for sale
- days on which you would like to trade.
Your temporary licence need not be for the location or commodity that you usually trade. However, we will not consider changing a commodity to hot food. Please contact us if you are interested in resuming trading.
Safety is our priority and we are ensuring our markets meet all Government guidelines and legislations. Hence there is no pre-allocated pitch and there is no guarantee that the same pitch will be allocated each time.
