The Older Persons Freedom Pass
An Older Persons Freedom Pass lets you travel for free on London's public transport. You can use it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For National Rail services within Greater London, you can use it:
- after 9.30am on weekdays
- all day on weekends and public holidays

Eligibility
Before you apply you need to check if you're eligible.
If you're not eligible and over 60, the 60+ London Oyster photocard allows free travel on public transport in London until you qualify for a Freedom Pass.
You can apply up to 14 days before you become eligible.
Proof of residence
You must provide proof that your sole and permanent address is in Camden. The document you send must show your name and current address and be dated within the last three months.
One of the following documents can be provided as proof of residence:
- A current council tax bill
- A utility bill, for example gas electricity, water, telephone or broadband (not a mobile phone bill)
- A current television licence letter or bill
Please note that bank statements are not accepted as proof of residence.
Proof of age
You must provide proof that you are of the qualifying age. See table below:

One of the following documents can be provided as proof of age:
- A current UK passport
- A birth certificate
- A current UK driving licence
- An NHS medical card
