Displaying your Green Badge
You must display your Green Badge in your windscreen with the barcode facing upwards. Otherwise a parking ticket could be issued or your vehicle could be removed.
If you wish to park in a residents or paid for parking bay, your Blue and Green Badges should be clearly displayed on the dashboard.
If you wish to park in a Blue Badge bay, you will only require your Blue Badge. Your expiry date and issuing authority need to be visible on your Blue Badge.
Lost or stolen Badges
If your badge is lost or stolen you must report it to the police.
You’ll then need to complete a lost or stolen form (PDF).
We will replace stolen badges for free if you give a crime reference number. Other replacements cost £10.
Green Badge misuse
You must not lend your Green Badge to anyone else. This could result in your Green Badge being taken away. It is a criminal offence:
- for able bodied people to use your Green Badge - if they do they are liable for a fine of up to £1,000
- to make a false statement for the purpose of getting a Green Badge - this can result in a fine of up to £2,500
