Please note once you register, you will not have to do it every time you make a new application as details are held on the system.

Also note when you now register, you do not need to send us all health and safety and Public Liability documents at the same time now. They can be uploaded as you go along with your event planning

Fees and charges 

If you are a businesses or commercial events organisers, there is an approved list fees and charges (PDF) to hire space in Camden parks open spaces and for use of the public realm.

Fees and charges are dependent on:

• The venue
• Length of time on site (half day or full day)
• Numbers attending (for example 0-100, 100-500, over 500)
• Additional licensing of requirements such as road closure and parking.

Community delivered non-profit making events may qualify for our reduced rates. Read the criteria (PDF) to see if you qualify

Our Community Festival Funding Grant scheme cancels out all payable fees and charges apart from statutory licenses.

Virtual events 

During the pandemic Virtual events became more and more popular and although we are now back to normal there is still sometimes a demand for Virtual or Hybrid events. Camden events team are on hand to help guide you though the process

We are also able to offer production management of live streamed events.

Where can I promote my event?

Love Camden promotes all events taking place in the borough as well as organisations and businesses that are based in Camden. Register and add your event/business/company to Love Camden website. 

Event management service 

We can provide a dedicated event manager who will work closely with you throughout the planning and delivery process to bring your event to life. Events managers are experienced in corporate sports days, fun days and company picnics.

If you are holding an event in open space that has any of the following you will be required to obtain the correct licenses by law.

The supply of alcohol and/or regulated entertainment such as live music or film at an event with no more than 499 people, will require a temporary event notice (TEN).

Apply for a TEN

The supply of alcohol, and/or regulated entertainment such as live music or film at an event with more than 499 people, will require a premises license.

Apply for a Premises License

These licenses must be obtained from Camden's Licensing team and charges will apply.

If you are holding a commercial ticketed event that involves live music, and/or background music, you are required to obtain a PRS license from the Performing rights society.

If you are having traders at your event or running a brand activation such as leafleting in the streets, or trading in any way, you will require a Traders license, which is granted by the events team.

Road closures and parking suspensions in the public realm for events are fully managed by the events team within your event application.

Please note that we require a minimum of eight weeks’ notice to close roads and seventeen days for parking suspensions to allow for public notification of the events taking place. When making your application please be as accurate as you can with locations.
