Parks and green spaces facilities

Sports

Whether you’re into football, tennis, running or basketball, there are a number of great locations in our parks where you can indulge your passion.

Free to play sports facilities

Facilities that are available for free do not require booking, use is on a first come first served basis.

Outdoor Gyms

We have outdoor gyms across the borough. For locations and further information on our outdoor gyms 

Cantelowes Garden Skatepark 

The concrete skate bowl and skate furniture is designed for skateboarding, rollerblade and BMX bikes

Facilities are supervised but used at own risk. Protective equipment such as helmets, wrist guards, elbow and knee pads must be worn. 

Do not use: 

  • after rain or snow 
  • during icy conditions  
  • when closed or after dark 

Cantelowes Gardens is open from 8am to dusk. 
We are currently reviewing opening and closing times for the skatepark. 
On Bank Holiday weekends the skatepark closes at dusk

Play sports facilities that require booking


Personal Trainers

Thank you for your interest in hosting a fitness activity in one of Camden’s green spaces.

You do not need to apply for a licence for classes with fewer than 10 people. 

Please adhere to these rules to help protect the park.

  • Try to find a quiet area away from people’s homes, other park activities and people relaxing
  • Do not obstruct any pathways
  • Do not cordon off any sections of the space
  • Ensure you do not cause unreasonable wear to grassed areas
  • Do not use trees, children’s play equipment or park furniture for any type of exercise eg. Step ups, push ups from benches
  • Do not attach any exercise apparatus to trees, children’s play equipment or park furniture 
  • Keep music to a reasonable level, and be willing to reduce volume on request

We will not permit fitness classes in any of the following areas: playgrounds, churchyards, nature conservation areas, sports pitches.

For classes with more than 10 attendees, you will need to apply via Camden Events team via events@camden.gov.uk
