Bloomsbury Health Walks

These walks take place from March to November, and they last for one hour. Days and times can vary.

The Association of Bloomsbury Squares and Gardens invites you on brisk walks around Bloomsbury to improve your circulation and increase your weekly step count.  Walks are led by the expert Camden Guides and include a brief stop at the halfway point to hear a few fascinating facts about the location before walking on.

These are wellbeing walks, not guided tours. Spaces are limited but booking isn't required, and walks go ahead in all weathers. For days, times and meeting points, visit Bloomsbury Health Walks and Bloomsbury Squares & Gardens.

Walk leader training

Camden works in partnership with Ramblers to deliver FREE walk leader training to those who are interested in setting up a brand-new Wellbeing Walk in Camden.

A Wellbeing Walk is:

  • Takes place regularly, at least every other week, preferably weekly
  • Accessible, free, local, with options for all abilities
  • Between 10 and 90 minutes long

A new Wellbeing Walk in Camden can be:

  • Open – turn up and walk no booking necessary
  • Closed – booking is required
  • Targeted – aimed at a specific cohort of people e.g. women only
  • Themed – linked in with poetry, mindfulness, historic sites etc

If you are attached to a local organisation in Camden and wish to start a new walk in in the borough or you are an individual volunteer interested in leading a walk in your local community we can help.

We are working in partnership with Better, Camden’s leisure provider, to start at least 2 new walks from each leisure centre. This allows you to use the leisure centre as a meeting and end point with toilet facilities as well as tapping into the membership base in order to populate your walk. If this is something that you are interested in then please get in touch using the email address below.
