Applications for the community festival grant scheme

Camden Council are delighted to announce we will be supporting community festivals again in 2022-2023. The ongoing challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic have highlighted the importance of Camden’s community spirit.

We have protected the £35,000 community festivals grant pot in recognition of the important role our community plays in fostering community cohesion.

We are also pleased to be able to confirm that all community festivals and events that receive a grant will also receive a waiver of all non-statutory fees and charges such as road closures, trading licenses, waste collections and parking suspensions relating to an event. However, in the current climate of cuts to council funding, we cannot afford to cover all costs and a conversation with Camden Events Service during your application can determine what might need to be paid for.

For any small community events that are not successful in securing grant funding, there is still an agreement to support you by charging an inclusive discounted admin fee of £100. Subject to final approvals this charge will remain for the financial year 2022-2023. Please see criteria for the £100 community charged events
