Camden Town Vision
Camden Town is the borough’s largest town centre, and we think it's the right time to look at Camden Town as a whole. Last summer, we built a vision for the future of Camden Town with your valuable input. The engagement findings emphasised that revitalising and sustaining Camden Town’s culture and identity, ensuring it remains a place that is creative, diverse, and unique, is the key ambition.
Since then, we have been working on a draft vision for Camden Town. This is a 10-year strategy that sets out aspirations, principles and spatial strategies to help create a vibrant, safe, welcoming and sustainable Camden Town. We have also been working on a Project Framework, based on your ideas for making Camden Town better. With your help, we want to use this to develop a Delivery Plan.

What's happening now
We are consulting on the draft Camden Town Vision from 13 July to 23 August.
We would like to know if we’ve identified the right priorities, what we should be focussing on and how we can work together for the future of Camden Town. It's important that we hear from you, because the Vision and its Project Framework will steer investment and collaboration to build on Camden Town’s strengths and retain its unique character.
There are several ways in which you can have your say:
- you can find out more, view the consultation materials online, give your feedback and sign up for updates by visiting our Commonplace consultation page
- attend our exhibition at Camden Town Library, 218 Eversholt Street London, England, NW1 1BD, throughout the consultation during library opening hours. This will include a duplication of the information that is on the Commonplace and paper copies of the questionnaire. The exhibition will be unstaffed
- join our themed drop-in sessions at Camden Town where officers will be available to discuss the draft Camden Town Vision and its themes with you. The drop-in sessions are listed on our Commonplace page and you can also sign up for updates to be kept informed
- you can provide written comments or any questions by email to [email protected] or call us on 020 7974 794
What has happened so far
Last summer, we launched a public engagement on the issues, opportunities and ideas for Camden Town. It was open to everyone that lived in, worked in or visited Camden Town or just had a view on what Camden Town means to them.
We commissioned Urban Symbiotics to carry out the engagement and responses were gathered through:
- our Commonplace engagement page
- an exhibition and drop-in sessions at Camden Town Library
- street pop-ups and themed walks and workshops in Camden Town
- written comments submitted by email to [email protected]
Read the Engagement Summary Report to find out more about the engagement, what we heard and who we heard from.
What are the next steps
Once the consultation on the draft Camden Town Vision has concluded, we will review and analyse what you have told us. We will produce a consultation summary and develop a final version of the Camden Town Vision, with a view to publish it in winter 2026/27.
We will also use your responses on the Project Framework to develop a Delivery Plan for the Camden Town Vision.
When the Camden Town Vision will be published
Following the completion of the consultation in summer 2026, we anticipate publishing the Camden Town Vision in winter 2026/27.
