If you are aged 60 or over, there are low or no cost yoga, pilates or tai chi classes you can join in Camden.

Hatha yoga with Ros, Abbey Community Centre 

First class free, £10 per session thereafter (concessions available)

Restore and revitalise your body, mind and spirit. Chi Kung is a gentle exercise combining movements with breath. It is based on repetitions of sets of movements specifically designed to improve health and wellbeing. Please wear comfortable clothes, sensible footwear, or bare feet if you’re comfortable and have water to hand. This class is suitable for beginners.

Tai Chi is a meditative exercise that helps you learn to use your senses, mind and body together, promoting a sense of calm and balance.  In this class, the experienced tutor, Shirley, will guide you through a series of meditation and movements.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is said to have benefits that other classes may not provide. The class is taught by Ken from Camden Adult Community Learning (ACL). Practicing Tai Chi can help improve balance, reduce the risk of falls, strengthen muscles, and increase flexibility. Additionally, it can help develop core strength to enhance stability and reduce back pain. To join the class, you will need to fill out an enrolment form and a course diary.
