Why are there different options for each school?

Each school is different, so we have proposed options that are right for each school. 

I have applied / I am planning to apply for a place at a school that could be consulted on. What should I do?

No decisions have been made so please continue to apply for the school that you want your child to attend next academic year along with other options. 

In the event of a school closing how will you support children who will be entering exam years in September 2027 and or children with SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) and or children in the council’s care?

A decision to consult has not been made yet. However, if the consultations and subsequent milestones do go ahead as per the timeline at school proposals, we would expect to have a proposal to share with you in early 2027 – and the aim would be to minimise any disruption to children's education wherever possible.

Is the timeline subject to change?

Yes, timings may change and if that happens, we will update schools, parents and carers, and all relevant stakeholders.
