Hult International Business School - Undergraduate programme

The Hult undergraduate scholarships have now changed. The new scheme allows for multiple opportunities for Camden school leavers.

Hult International Business School strives to be the most relevant business school in the world. It is amongst the top 1% of business schools having triple-crown accreditation (AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA) and is a leader in business education from undergraduate education and postgraduate qualification (MBA and Masters programs), through to executive education at Ashridge. The school has campuses in Boston, San Francisco, Dubai and London with rotation campuses in Shanghai and New York, and the undergraduate program (the Bachelor of Business Administration) runs in Boston, San Francisco and London.

Hult Scholar Grant

The Hult Scholar Grant is a full tuition scholarship for a full time, 3-4 year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree studying at Hult’s undergraduate campus in Aldgate.

Eligibility

Hult Scholars are dynamic thinkers, high achievers, and influential leaders. They embody the Hult DNA by being entrepreneurial, open-minded, and learning by doing. Hult Scholars have exceptional academic accomplishments and require significant financial support to aid in their education. Hult Scholars are nominated by their teachers, career advisors and or heads of sixth form.

How to apply

  • Ask a school counsellors, careers advisors and or heads of sixth form to nominate you – refer you to the careers advisor.
  • Careers advisors are asked to complete a form and letter of recommendation. Students are asked to submit an essay in response to question set by Hult.

Hult International Business School - Postgraduate programme

The renowned Hult International Business School, based in Bloomsbury, is offering the following postgraduate opportunity:

  • a fully-funded one-year intensive postgraduate Master of International Business degree – including practical experience with a social enterprise or small and medium-sized enterprise (SME)

Eligibility

  • the scholarships are open to Camden residents only
  • graduates with any undergraduate degree
  • priority will be given to residents facing financial hardship.

How to apply

When submitting your application form, please also attach the following:

  • personal statement explaining why you would benefit from this opportunity (two pages maximum)    
  • two personal references (work or academic) in the form of written statements from each referee detailing your suitability for the course

Birkbeck, University of London

Birkbeck, University of London, located in Bloomsbury, is offering two scholarship places to Camden residents for any of their undergraduate level courses starting in October 2020.

Birkbeck is different: their classes are held in the evening, so your days are free - to study, work, volunteer or just do your own thing. To find out more about the university, courses and events, please visit their website at www.bbk.ac.uk.

Eligibility

Two full scholarships are available for the following undergraduate courses at Birkbeck starting in 2020/21:

•    Certificate of Higher Education (1-2 years, part-time)
•    Foundation degree (2 years full-time, 3 years, part-time)
•    Undergraduate degree (BA, BSc, LLB)  (3 years full-time; 4 years part-time)
•    Undergraduate degree (BA, BSc, LLB) with a foundation year (4 years, full-time)

To be eligible for consideration for the Camden scholarship, you must meet all three of the initial criteria (with evidence supplied) and two or more of the secondary criteria below:

Initial criteria:

•    You must be a Camden resident;
•    Your annual household income must be below £25,000 (each successful applicant will need to complete a means testing form and supply supporting evidence);
•    You must meet the criteria for a tuition fee loan as outlined here. If awarded the scholarship, you would not need to apply for a loan to pay for your course at Birkbeck, but may still take out a maintenance loan to pay for living costs. For any queries about eligibility for student loans contact Birkbeck’s Student Advice Service or come along to a Money at University event.

Secondary criteria:

•    be the first in your family to attend university;
•    be from a Black, Asian or minority ethnic background;
•    be over 21 years old;
•    be classified as disabled;
•    be a Care leaver;
•    hold non-traditional university-entry qualifications (i.e. Access to HE Diploma; Intermediate, Advanced or BTEC Apprenticeship, BTEC First, BTEC National or equivalent)
•    have limited or poor prior education attainment (for example, left school with no qualifications, low grades at GCSE and/or have a disability for which you did not receive support whilst in education which had an impact on your achievement);
•    have no qualifications higher than Level 2 (i.e. O Levels, GCSE or equivalent)
•    have been out of formal education for nine years or more.
