The Council formally adopted the Dartmouth Park Neighbourhood Plan on 2 March 2020.

Minor changes to the adopted Plan
A minor change was then made to the Plan (3 August 2022). This was to correct an error relating to a Local Green Space boundary (Mansfield Bowling Club).

Neighbourhood Forum and Area applications
Dartmouth Park Neighbourhood Area and Forum were approved by the Council on 7 October 2013. A public consultation on the Forum and Area applications took place between 13 June to 26 July 2013.

The Dartmouth Park Neighbourhood Forum was re-designated for another 5 years on 17 December 2018. The associated consultation took place between 5 October and 16 November 2018.

Plan Submission
Dartmouth Park Neighbourhood Forum submitted its proposed Neighbourhood Plan to Camden Council in January 2019.

Examination
Camden with support from the Dartmouth Park Neighbourhood Forum, appointed Mr David Hogger BA MSc MRTPI MCIHT to hold an independent examination on the Neighbourhood Plan. The examination took place between May and July 2019.

The Examiners report received on 19 July 2019 stated that subject to modifications being made the Plan met the basic conditions and should proceed to referendum.

The Council considered the Examiners report and decided on the 27 September to accept the Examiners recommendations and publish the Decision Statement and proceed to referendum.
Referendum
A referendum was held on the 6 February 2020, where all eligible voters were asked :
"Do you want the London Borough of Camden to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Dartmouth Park Neighbourhood Area to help decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"
Of the votes cast, 87.9% supported the Council using the Plan, 12.1% voted against. The turnout was 17.1%.
