Location where skip is to be placed
Skips can easily cause damage to the highway. To protect the integrity of the highway it is only under exceptional circumstances that we would give permission to place skips on a surface other than the carriageway:

Your request to place a skip on the highway will require a Parking Suspension. You will need to apply separately for your suspension and will need the skip license reference which we will send to you once this application has been processed.

Any requests to place a skip on a single or double yellow line will be assessed; if a suitable alternative parking space is identified then you will be expected to obtain a parking suspension.
