News about Archive staff

Photo of Kate Brolly and Ruairi O'Reilly at the Age UK Camden office

Regular users of Camden Local Studies and Archives Centre will be familiar with team member, Kate Brolly. Kate is one of a number of Camden libraries staff who have been redeployed to help during the Covid 19 crisis. She is working for Age UK Camden in Hampstead helping provide emergency food parcels to residents unable to leave their homes. Her role includes telephoning people to check they have received their food parcels, to see if they have any other needs and to ensure that they know how to refer themselves for further help in the future. She says it is “very rewarding as we get to hear just how much it means to them to receive the help”. This picture shows Kate in her office at Age UK with Ruairi O’Reilly, a colleague from Holborn Library, who is also helping with the food parcel project.
