Commercial space and Incubators

Camden encourages the supply and protection of employment space across the borough. Our Local Plan aims to protect space for small businesses, as well as workspaces that provide employment for Camden residents and support the local economy.

Camden offers a variety of commercial properties in Camden to let, including retail shops and premises.

Pop-up shops and Camden Markets

Camden Council’s Economic Development Team works with local business groups and other organisations to provide free and reduced-cost temporary space for entrepreneurs, artists, and community groups.

The pop shop project aims to:

  • Increase footfall and attract new visitors to the borough’s retail spaces providing a range of exciting businesses, activities, and exhibitions
  • Reduce the visual impact of empty property in local neighbourhoods
  • Generate publicity for Camden’s retail spaces
  • Showcase empty property to potential commercial tenants

If you’ve got a project you’d like to use a pop-up shop for, get in touch with the Economic Development team to share your proposal.

Camden Markets

Camden runs a range of markets located throughout the borough. The markets are situated in great locations attracting a wide range of visitors. Products sold on the stalls include crafts, clothing, food and many other popular essentials. A stall at one of Camden’s markets could be a great opportunity to trial a new retail or food business without risking the expense of a long-term lease.
