About the library

West Hampstead Library is open for customers to browse and choose their own books, and to use our public computers

You don’t need to book a computer, PCs are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Access is limited to one hour per day. You can also scan, print and photocopy documents.

Browsing time is limited to twenty minutes

Visiting children's libraries and using study space

At four of our libraries you can now book to visit the children's library, and at three libraries you can use our study space.  We hope to be able to open the Children's library at West Hampstead in the next few weeks.

For more information, see: Library bookings.

You can return any outstanding books, DVDs or CDs on loan within our opening hours. For quarantine reasons these items won’t be removed from your record for 72 hours.

The library has a number of other measures in place to keep customers and staff safe.  For details, see: Keeping everyone safe.

Because of the current situation, our services may change at short notice. For the latest information, see: Changes to library service.
