Jenny's story - a private tenant

One third of households in Camden privately rent. We want to make sure that all private tenants are aware of their rights and know where to go if they are experiencing poor housing conditions.
Our private rented sector team provide support and advice on a range of housing issues, from what to do if you are facing harassment, illegal eviction to help with contracts and deposits. The team also work with the Police to make sure tenants are protected in their homes.

Jenny, a private tenant living in Kilburn, was facing disrepairs in her home and harassment from her landlord. After contacting the Council, she was supported by tenancy relation officers who were able to visit her property and advise her on her rights.
Watch Jenny’s story and find out about her experience and the support she received.
