Charlie Ratchford Centre - CIP

Charlie Ratchford Court

Completed in November 2020, the 38 new ‘extra-care’ homes at Charlie Ratchford Court will cater for older people whose support needs are better suited to living in supported accommodation.

The scheme includes the 38 purpose-built flats, a café-style dining area where residents and families can come together, and a programme of activities that can be enjoyed in the flexible indoor and outdoor spaces by residents and the wider community.

This unique approach is designed to help tenants make meaningful connections with each other and the wider community while living active and fulfilling lives.

The building has been designed to use renewable energies and low carbon technologies to produce sustainable energy sources and so it was only right to also celebrate this sustainable building by planting a range of plants on the roof that will grow and take shape as the scheme develops.
