We’re celebrating the people and stories that unite Camden and want to hear from you
We’re inviting you to share your experiences, memories, hopes, journeys and reflections about your time in the borough. These stories will form part of a campaign to celebrate Camden’s diversity and create a shared sense of belonging.
People make Camden. Everyone has a different experience of Camden, whether you have lived here all your life or recently moved here. So whatever your story, whether you have a memory of growing up or moving here, favourite place or reflection on your community, we’d love to hear it.
We hope to create a shared sense of pride and build a picture of the people that have helped to shape our borough and communities.
“My wife and I moved over from the States about 3 years ago… we didn’t really start to feel at home in London until we moved [here], and we feel that we really fit in that community, and I think that’s a good sign of what people coming from the outside can find in Camden.”
“It’s a diverse borough, so you get to live with people from different backgrounds, which opens your horizons.”
It's Black History Month and we're celebrating the achievements and contributions of black people in Camden and across the UK, sharing stories from residents past and present, and reflecting on black history in Camden.
