What do we do

Children and parents have a statutory right to be fully involved and consulted on decisions affecting the child’s care where the state is intervening in family life. Participation will only be undertaken where it benefits the child. Camden also has a participation strategy for enabling children and parents to participate in decisions around service structure and delivery. This ensures the best decisions are being made and helps build good relationships, resilience and confidence.

How do I get involved

Children and parents will be given a full explanation as to how and why they can participate in decision-making and how their views will be taken into account.

If you are a young person from Camden and have a social worker, you should visit Back Chat by clicking here.
