This is the improved Camden website. Tell us what you think.

Request a review of a housing decision

We will write to you with a decision about your housing application.

Call us to resolve your query

If you have a query about a decision, we believe the best way to resolve it is quickly and simply. You can contact the Allocations Team on 020 7974 4444 between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. We can receive a large number of calls so you may need to wait before you get through.

Stage 1 review

If you still believe a decision is not correct, then you have a right to request a review. Example decisions could be about your eligibility, bed size or the outcome of an assessment by the Medical Assessment Officer.

Requests to review a decision must be submitted within 21 days of the date on your decision letter. A representative can request a review on your behalf.  You can submit a review in writing using the form below.

What happens next

We will complete your review within a reasonable period and aim to respond to you within eight weeks. We are currently working through a large number of reviews. Please bear with us while we work hard to get back to you.

We will notify you of the outcome of your review and the reasons for our decision. Your points or eligibility may increase, decrease or remain the same.

In Camden we have a two-stage review process. If you are still unhappy with our decision, then you can request a stage 2 review.

Stage 2 review

You can request a stage 2 review if you believe the outcome of stage 1 is incorrect. You must request a stage 2 review within 21 days of the date on the stage 1 decision letter.

You must provide your reasons for disagreement in writing using the form below. You must include any supporting information that you feel we did not consider, or you would like us to consider now.

Request a review

Your Stage 2 review will be carried out by a reviewing officer who was not involved in the original decision. You will be informed in writing of the outcome of this review.
