Pay your service charges

This is the improved Camden website. Tell us what you think.

Pay your service charges

There are lots of ways you can pay your service charges.

You must use your invoice number as the reference for your payment. If you do not do this, our system will put your payment against the oldest outstanding balance. It will look like you haven’t paid your invoice and a recovery process will start. This can take a long time to sort out.

Pay using your Camden Account

A Camden Account means you can do things like:

  • make a payment and set up payment plans
  • view your service charge account
  • register when your property is sublet

Register if you do not have an account. Use your full name as it appears on your service charge account.  You will also need your customer number as shown on the front of your invoice.

Payments can be found under 'Housing' and then 'View / Pay Invoices'. You can also view the Camden Account guide for leaseholders.

Pay by standing order

We will send you a standing order form with your service charge invoice. You can complete this form and send it to your bank. Alternatively, you can use the details on the form to set up your standing order using your telephone or internet banking. You will need to set up a separate standing order for each invoice you receive.

Camden Council’s account details are:

  • Bank Sort Code 503003
  • Account Number 24312835

You must use your invoice number as the reference for your payment.

Pay online

It’s easy, quick, and secure to make an online payment. You will need to have your invoice to hand and your payment card details. Payments can be made by Visa, MasterCard, Visa Delta, Switch and Solo.

Make an online payment on our payments page. Select ‘Leaseholder service charges’ which is under the ‘Residential’ heading.

If you prefer, you can pay using internet banking. Camden Council’s account details are:

Pay by phone

Payments can be made by Visa, Mastercard, Visa Delta, Maestro, Electron, and Solo. Keep the reference number given as your proof of payment.

You can also pay using telephone banking. Camden Council’s account details are:

Pay in-person

Pay at the Post Office using the barcode on your invoice or reminder letter. Please ask for a receipt. You can pay up to £999.99 per transaction.

Payments can be made by debit card, cash, or cheque made payable to ‘Post Office Counters Ltd'. Pay at shops with the PayPoint sign using the barcode on your invoice or reminder letter. You can pay up to £200 per transaction and payment can be made by cash only.

Pay by bank giro credit

You can complete the bank giro credit form at the bottom of your invoice and take the whole invoice with your payment to any bank. If you do not have an account with the bank, you may be charged to make a payment.

If you cannot pay on time

If you’re finding it difficult to pay, it’s important to contact us as soon as possible. Email our Collections Team at camdenleaseholderservices@camden.gov.uk. They are here to help and can talk though your options such as a payment plan.

If you are receiving benefits, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) may help you to pay your service charges. You should inform the DWP as soon as you get a bill.

If you have problems with money or debt, you can use our benefits calculator and refer yourself to the money advice service.
