We’re doing everything we can to keep residents safe and make sure that people are following government guidance.
To help with this, we have the Frontline Presence Team out across Camden 7 days a week offering support and advice to residents and businesses on safe social distancing. Their aim is to keep everyone safe.
The team will make sure residents are following government guidance in parks and open spaces. They will also make sure that local businesses are maintaining 2 metre distancing to protect customers and their workforce.
You’ll recognise our officers as they’ll be wearing Camden high visibility jackets with ‘stay home, protect the NHS, save lives’.
Support for businesses
As part of a package of support to local businesses, Camden’s frontline team are providing support and advice to businesses. The team are providing posters and advice to make sure that they are maintaining 2m distancing.
While the vast majority of non-essential businesses are following Government guidance our teams are working to ensure that businesses across Camden are acting responsibly.
We have received over 20 calls about non-essential businesses remaining open, most of who were retail shops who once spoken to closed straight away. We have resolved instances of staff at construction sites not adhering to the social distancing guidelines and are also investigating 25 reports alleging that companies have raised their prices to profiteer.
If you are a business owner who would like information on the support available to you, all the latest information can be found on our dedicated Coronavirus business webpages.
