What is the European Passport Return Service (EPRS)
If you are a European Economic Area (EEA) applicant applying for Permanent Residence or Qualified Person status online, you can use this service in order to keep your original passport while your application is being considered.
Please be aware that this is not a checking service, we can only check and photocopy your passport not ID cards, but will need to send all other documents as originals.

We offer appointments Monday-Friday between 9am and 3.15pm.
Please ensure you and any other adults applying with you all arrive at our office within 10 working days of submitting your application online (children under 18 are not required to attend). Please note that non EEA dependents applying on their own cannot use this service unless a joint application is made with the EEA family member. Also if families make separate applications they cannot be submitted together unless a joint application was made online.
When you attend please put all your documents in an envelope before you hand them in to us. If you arrive after 10 working days of submitting your application online, your application cannot be sent and you will not get a refund of the fee paid. If you are late for your appointment, you will need to book a fresh appointment and pay the fee again.

The fee for the service is £15 for each applicant with an additional charge for postage as below.
Up to 1kg – £10.00 plus the £15.00 EPRS fee
Up to 2kg – £15.00 plus the £15.00 EPRS fee
Up to 10kg - £26.60 plus the £15.00 EPRS fee
Up to 20kg - £41.20 plus the £15.00 EPRS fee
