If you need help with saving energy and reducing your energy bills, there are organisations and services that can help. 

Seasonal Health Intervention Network (SHINE) 

SHINE is an energy advice service that provides affordable warmth and health services for Camden residents. SHINE operators can check your eligibility for grants and discounts on your utility bills. They can also advise you on what to do if you are in fuel debt.

Boiler Upgrade Scheme

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme provides grant assistance for home owners and businesses to replace fossil fuel heating systems with a heat pump or biomass boiler. Grants are available for up to:

  • £5,000 towards an air source heat pump
  • £6,000 towards a ground source heat pump 
  • £5,000 towards a biomass boiler

Mayor of London Advice Line 

You can contact Energy Advice London to get advice on saving energy and water. They also provide advice on reducing energy bills, accessing support, installing renewables and more.

Warmth, income, safety and health (WISH+) service 

You can access a wide range of health and wellbeing services across the borough through a single referral for yourself, or on behalf of someone else, with the WISH+ service

Well and warm service 

Camden’s Well and Warm service provides free home energy advice visits to council tenants to help make your home warmer, more comfortable and reduce energy bills. 

On the visit, they will: 

  • give you advice on how to keep your home energy efficient 
  • install free small energy saving measures in your home
