Over 30 street parties, community lunches and BBQs are taking place across Camden during the Coronation weekend. Residents can download children’s activities and bunting designs from the Coronation toolkit

The platinum selling Puppini Sisters and queens of close harmony will be performing swing-style re-workings of modern pop songs on stage between 6pm–8pm.

The King and The Queen Consort will be crowned at Westminster Abbey on Saturday, 6 May 2023. The Coronation service will begin at 11am and will be live on national television and on big screens in Hyde Park.

Over 30 street parties will be held in Camden. The Coronation Concert, beginning at 8pm, will be shown live on BBC1 and on a big screen at St James’s Park.

Rosslyn Hill Unitarian Chapel is partnering with Mitzvah Day and the Queen’s Crescent Community Association to offer a Coronation Coffee Morning as part of the Big Help Out initiative on the Coronation weekend.
People are invited to bring donations for QCCA’s food bank and make new friends while enjoying refreshments. There will also be a chance for everyone to learn about different volunteering opportunities in the area and to make a pledge to give their time in the future.

OPEN TO ALL (FREE): Coronation Open Day, Kentish Town Sports Centre, Grafton Road, NW5 3DU, 10am-3pm. Take part in coronation themed arts and crafts activities throughout the day, as well as swimming and fitness challenges with prizes up for grabs.

•    Camden Lock, Hawley Wharf, Camden Town
•    Granary Square, King’s Cross
•    St Giles Square, Holborn

All three locations will host live music (think steel pan drumming!) and children’s activities including face painting, storytelling and crown making workshops. Families can bring a picnic and enjoy these spaces together.


Camden Council will honour some of the people who make a difference in our communities through a special barge trip on the Regent’s Canal, between Camden Town and King’s Cross.
