What should I do if I have forgotten my password?

Click on “forgot your password”. You will be required to provide your username and registered email address and will shortly receive an email with an access code and instructions to reset your password.

Why have I been locked out of my account?

Your account has been locked following too many unsuccessful login attempts; please try again in 10 minutes.

I started my application and then logged out/closed the browser.  Will the system remember me and save my application? 

Your account will be valid once you have created it and you should be able to access it using your credentials, you may lose some information if you have logged out. You have the option of completing your application in stages and we recommend that you save and close your application before logging out.

Can I upload attachments to support my application?

Yes, in addition to completing the mandatory application form you can upload attachments, such as a CV and covering letter. 

What should I do if I am unable to submit my application? 

We encourage you to try to submit your application as early as possible before the closing date to avoid any difficulties. 
If you are unable to submit your application before the closing date, please email us at resourcing@camden.gov.uk explaining the error and a member of the resourcing team will assist you.

Can I apply if I currently do not have the Right to Work / work permit?

Camden considers all applications and each application is looked at on a case by case basis – to work at Camden you must have the Right to work and remain in the UK.  

Will you contact me regarding the outcome of my application? 

Yes, we aim to inform all candidates regarding the outcome of their application(s) within one month of the closing date for the role. Due to unforeseen circumstances, this timeline may extend and we will try our best to keep you updated, however please feel free to contact us.

Can I apply for multiple jobs? 

Yes, you can – we would recommend applying for jobs that match your skills, experience and interests.

How long should I wait to reapply for a role I applied / interviewed for previously? 

You are more than welcome to reapply to us, it is good practice to reapply for the same role after 6 months and we recommend that you update us on your skills and experience in your application. 

How long does the recruitment process take?

A typical recruitment process from applying to a position to being offered can vary and is dependent on the role; however, an estimate of one month should be expected.

What should I do if I have a specific requirement?

Camden is committed to making our recruitment practices barrier-free and as inclusive as possible for everyone. This includes making adjustments or changes for people who have a disability or long-term health condition. 
If you have any special requirements or reasonable adjustments that need to be applied to the recruitment process or if you are still unsure about the selection process and need further clarification, please contact us in advance to discuss the best ways to meet your needs.

The post that I am applying for is subject to a DBS check, what does this mean?

If the post you are applying for requires you to have access to children, young persons or vulnerable adults, you will be required to hold a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Checks are carried out in strict confidence and can only be made in connection with the position you are applying for. The Safe Staff Team at Camden will manage the DBS check process for all applicants who have applied to a safeguarding role.
