Winter weather
Snow shovels for community groups
We still have free shovels remaining for winter 2017-18. These shovels help local community and resident groups clear snow and ice from footpaths over the winter months.
Eligible groups include:
- Community groups
- Community centre based volunteer groups
- Scout troops
- Cadet force groups
- Tenant and resident associations
- Friends of parks groups
- Local resident groups
- Local business groups
- Volunteer organisations
- Training and development organisations
We’ll still be doing all we can to keep major roads and footpaths clear, but local groups really help us to keep Camden moving.
How to get hold of a shovel
Please email street.environment@camden.gov.uk to arrange collection. Groups collecting snow shovels will need to leave contact details and information on where the shovel will be used. A maximum of six shovels per group are allowed.
You can pick one up in person Monday to Friday, between 10am and 3pm, from 211 Arlington Road NW1 7HD. In isolated cases we can deliver snow shovels. Please email us if you have any questions.
The shovels will be yours to keep, but unfortunately we’ll be unable to replace
any lost or damaged shovels.
