Clean streets in Camden

Leafing

During the autumn we provide an extra service to clear leaf fall from streets in the borough.

When the leaves begin to fall, the leafing service begins their work. The leafing season lasts for approximately 10 weeks. This service covers all areas of the borough with an emphasis on the more tree-lined streets in the north and central areas.

Residents in streets heavily affected by leaf fall also benefit from a free collection of leaves that have fallen in the gardens. Leaves can be swept onto the pavement on dedicated collection days for collection. Information about this service is hand delivered to affected streets near the start of the leafing season.

All the leaves we collect are composted. During the 2007 leafing season over 60 tonnes of leaves were collected and composted. By providing this service, we aim to make your streets cleaner and safer.
