Kilburn and West Hampstead Bench to Bench Walks

Highlights: 10 walks for people of all ages with different physical and sensory capabilities designed around existing community seating.  Points of interest, benches and cafes, which often have toilets for customer use are marked on the maps.  

A Walk Through Bloomsbury
Distance:  4 miles / 6.4km
Time: 3 hours (depending on time spent in gardens)

Highlights: This walk explores some of the oldest and most notable of London's squares, from the time of Charles II to the reign of Queen Victoria. Along the way you will meet some of the many characters who have lived in the squares over the years.

Waterlow Park Tree Walk

Kilburn Grange Park
Distance: 0.8 miles / 1.23km

Highlights: This circular walk starts at Kingsgate  Community Centre, leads you through the beautiful Kilburn Grange Park, past the outdoor gym and finishes back at the Community Centre.

Gospel Oak

Distance: 1.5 miles / 2.5 km
Time: 30-40 minutes
Steps: 3,000
Highlights: This circular walk starts at Queen’s Crescent Community Centre, takes you through Lismore Circus past the outdoor gym. It takes you into the Gospel Oak end of Hampstead Heath Park before returning to the centre.

Somers Town
Distance: 1 miles / 1.6km
Time: 20 minutes
Steps: 2,000
Highlights: This walk starts at the Francis Crick Institute, passes the Camley Road nature reserve, explores the Regent’s canal and brings you back to the fountains at Granary Square.

Regent’s Park
Distance: 1 miles / 1.6km

Highlights: This mile takes you from the bustle of the Green Light pharmacy on the corner of Drummond Street/ Hampstead Road, past St Mary Magdalene Church which houses the Third Age Project in the crypt. You pass through the rose garden and lake at the Inner Circle in Regent’s Park and finish at the café.
