“I’ve lived in Camden for over 50 years. I’ve been attending a Camden active health healthy bones class in Swiss Cottage community centre for about nine months, after being encouraged by the Royal Free.

“It’s really, really beneficial. I remember to sit upright, I remember to breathe properly and I sometimes remember to do the exercises at home as well.

“What I enjoy most is the feeling that all my muscles are being exercised, muscles that you perhaps don’t use very much.

“At my age it’s very important to stay active. I fall quite regularly and perhaps because I’ve been doing the classes, so far thank goodness, I haven’t broken anything.

“The more you use your body and the more active you are, the better. Be as active as you can. Walk as much as you can and take as many exercises as you can manage – the more you do the more you can do.”
