A masterplan to guide future improvements to the park was approved in 2017.  Developed with the local community, it shows current ambitions for the site and will evolve over time.

Adventurous Play Project

The old adventure playground in Kilburn Grange Park has been decommissioned due to decay of the main structure.   To help plan for the new play space we spoke to a large number of residents and community members at events, sessions in schools and in the park.

It was clear that people valued the unique feel of the equipment in the previous play area, particularly its adventurous and challenging nature.  With the communities help we have been developing ideas for a replacement scheme that can deliver a similar experience, while being manageable and long lasting.

We are currently waiting to receive planning permission for our proposed scheme. After this we will be looking to select contractors and will have a better idea of when work will begin on site. We hope the scheme will be open for summer/autumn 2019.

The park was opened to the public in 1913, the land having previously been part of the Grange estate from which it takes its name.
