On street recycling facilities

Recycling textiles and shoes

Where can I recycle textiles and shoes?

Giving your old clothes and shoes to charity shops or using the on-street recycling facilities in Camden is an excellent way to recycle and reuse your unwanted clothes and shoes, rather than throwing them away.

Almost anything made of fabric - even frayed and unwearable clothing - can be recycled in the on-street recycling banks to make things like furniture stuffing and industrial rags.

You can also recycle other textiles such as towels, sheets, bedding and blankets, and even soft furnishings, like cushion covers.
