Brexit working group

Brexit working group

Exiting the EU will be one of the biggest events of this generation and it is critical that the Council understands and anticipates the impacts of what will be a long term process. It is equally important that we get the best deal for the borough and its residents in a post-Brexit settlement.

We’ve established a cross-party, Member-led Brexit working group in order to understand the impacts and secure the best possible deal for the borough. We will be looking at the impact of Brexit on the borough; Camden’s economy during the Brexit process; changes to legislation and devolution; financial impact on the Council; and social cohesion.

Brexit – Implications for Camden

The Brexit working group will gather and analyse evidence to understand what potential impact Brexit will have on the borough and secure the best possible deal for Camden-based businesses, organisations from different sectors, and people living and working in the borough.

 Impact on Camden People

  • We want to hear from local people and communities to ensure we lobby on the issues people are most concerened about as a result of Brexit

 Impact on Camden Partners

  • We want to hear from our partners, local businesses, and organisations from the knowledge  and creative sector. We want to ensure that we put in place measures to mitigate any negative impacts of Brexit, and to maximise the opportunities of a post-Brexit Camden
