Choosing Camden Town Hall

Camden Town Hall remains a famous and increasingly popular venue choice for London marriages and civil partnerships. It is a stylish Grade II-listed building designed in 1899 with many wonderful and interesting features.

Camden Town Hall will be unavailable for ceremonies from 29 July 2018 until further notice.

From 1 August 2018 we are moving to Tavistock House, Tavistock Square, London WC1H 9JP for wedding and civil partnership ceremonies.  Bookings can be made online.  For enquiries please send your contact details to

Wedding and civil ceremonies – open evening 

Every month, we hold open evenings at Camden Town Hall to help you plan your big day. Meet florists, car hire companies, photographers and more. You will also be able to speak to our registrars in more detail and see our ceremony suites and committee rooms.

Come along to our next open evening on Friday 22 June from 5pm to 8.30pm. We will be answering your questions about our brand new venue Tavistock House.

Ceremony rooms in Camden town hall

  • ceremony suite – up to 26 guests
  • committee room 2 – up to 40 guests
  • committee rooms 1 and 2 combined – available on special request, up to 70 guests
  • committee rooms 3 and 3a – up to 15 guests
  • council chamber – up to 180 guests

The ceremony suite is used for most of our ceremonies and seats up to 25 guests.

Camden’s impressive Council Chamber is the ideal venue for larger bespoke ceremonies seating up to 180 guests.

This is our most popular room for bespoke ceremonies on the civic floor which seats up to 40 guests. It is possible to make a special request to open the division to create a larger room for up to 30 additional guests.

Committee room 3 seats up to 15 guests for smaller bespoke ceremonies.

Committee room 3a

Committee room 3A seats up to 15 guests for smaller bespoke ceremonies and is used as an exhibition space for images of local artists, bands and music venues. These images cannot be taken down for the ceremony.
