A force to be reckoned with - BeLifted

I run a non-profit organisation called BeLifted and we help women and young people in Camden and Barnet. We host a women and children's group at Rhyl Primary School and the ladies that attend are truly inspirational.

Our group is supported and run by two amazing women - Efait and Eva, who dedicate their own time and effort to this mission and have always gone above and beyond. Yasmine, Asma, Kelly, Sonia, Khalida, Efair, Eva, Imane, Maleka, Nadia, Naimo, Allamuduliah, Semia, Soreya and Jusna are also just a few of the names of the women who support the organisation.

These Camden women are a force to be reckoned with, they are keen to learn, grow and develop. They are making a difference in their own lives and in the lives of their community.

They have organised school fêtes, and events and have worked hard to ensure their children enjoy their childhood. They are an asset to their family, school and community.

Since being part of the group, they have forged deep relationships with one another and tested themselves and pushed themselves far beyond what they could have imagined. They have participated in Yoga, Art Therapy workshops, information on healthy and unhealthy relationships, welfare talks and much more.

Some of the women are also involved in school progression and have helped with Ofsted visits. They have supported each other through difficult times, taken authority over their lives and taken control of their wellbeing as well as their children’s.

Having this amazing community in my group has meant that we have been able to build something very special, a unique group that allows for the women to learn and grow but also be themselves and push themselves to greater heights.

They are a brilliant group of women, and I am so proud and privileged to say that I know them.
