Camden Women's Forum
A Business Link survey of women in business, states that women have specific needs and motivations when going into business. The study showed that, while women are considered more flexible when going into business, they lacked the self-confidence and risk-taking perceived in their male counterparts.
For many organisations, networking is seen as the lifeblood of their business. Whether it's looking for leads, like-minded people or gaining access to new information, networking can provide opportunities for growing your business.
At Camden we understand that in order for women to be successful in businesses they need to have an understanding of how they can effectively administrate their business and learn what resources are available to businesses in Camden.
Camden Council launched the Camden’s Women Forum in March 2005 to champion the needs and issues of women in business and to enable women to have an equal chance of being competitive in today's commercial market.
The Camden Women’s Forum provides a platform where businesses can access:
- quarterly innovative networking events with key speakers
- lunchtime business focus groups
- specialist lunchtime seminars
- e-bulletins
- monthly business regulatory updates
- business advice and signposting
- information on council services
- information on business support opportunities

- opportunities to promote individual businesses / services.
Where appropriate, businesses can also act as a co-host for Forum events and in return publicise their organisation and services.
