Issues raised will be taken to regular joint meetings with adult councillors. The Youth Council will also link with the five youth area forums which have recently been established for Kilburn, Hampstead and Highgate, Central Camden, Gospel Oak and South Camden.

Background of the Youth Council

Work on setting up Camden’s first-ever Youth Council began in January 2007, with a group of young people developing ideas for how it will work.

A launch event at Camden Town Hall in November 2007 was attended by more than 300 young people, who shared their views about what form the Youth Council should take and the issues it should tackle.
