Clean Camden

Clean streets

Residents, businesses and visitors all have a responsibility to help maintain Camden’s streets by placing their rubbish in the litter or recycling bins provided across the borough.

Anyone caught dropping litter could be fined £80.

The use of fixed penalty notices is part of our strategy to change people’s behaviour, reduce the amount of litter dropped across Camden, and ultimately save money on street cleaning.

Litter and flytipping are avoidable problems that cost Camden over £9 million a year to clean up. More than seven tonnes of litter is cleaned up in the borough every day.

Clean Camden campaign

Our Clean Camden campaign encourages residents, businesses and visitors to bin or recycle their litter and help keep the borough clean.

Clean Camden includes poster campaigns with the message ‘Bin it, don't throw money away’.

We are also encouraging you to organise a litter pick in your area by joining Keep Britain Tidy's Big Tidy Up
