What is the Camden education commission?
Camden Education Commission was an independent commission jointly established by Camden schools and Camden Council to take a longer term look at strengthening education in the borough.
The commission was launched in May 2011 and ran until November 2011.
A new partnership for educational excellence
Following the final report of the Education Commission, a Camden Partnership for Educational Excellence (CPEE) has been set up and met for the first time on Monday 23 April 2012.
Chaired by former head of Ofsted Sir Mike Tomlinson, the CPEE will enable schools and other institutions to bid for extra funds to support projects which make a real difference to pupils.

Funding for innovative projects
The CPEE Board is inviting schools, colleges, partners and stakeholders to bid for funds from a £2 million pot set up to support innovative ways of working and projects to raise achievement and attainment.
Bids are invited over at least two funding rounds, with the first being May to July 2012. Expressions of interest should be made by Monday 21 May for projects starting in about October 2012. A second round of funding will begin later in the year.
