Corporate Plan update

Our corporate plan update 2008-12 renews and updates Camden's plans and performance measures initiated in the 2007-2008 corporate plan to deliver our commitments under the 2007 Sustainable Community Strategy.

In particular, the update document reflects changes to the performance framework for local government and its partners, including the implementation of Camden’s new Local Area Agreement (LAA) 2008-11.

Please note Camden’s LAA has not yet been signed off by the Secretary of State and will be subject to final amendment. Camden has recently agreed in principle to add an additional performance indicator (on Decent Homes) to the LAA. The current version included in Annex 1 of the corporate plan will therefore be updated to reflect this change once it has been formally signed off.

The major component of this years update are the delivery plans setting out the main steps we will be taking over the next four years to take forward on our improvement priorities and outline a range of projects and initiatives to meet the key aims of the Sustainable Community Strategy:

a sustainable Camden that adapts to a growing population
a strong Camden that includes everyone
a connected Camden that where people lead active and healthy lives
a safe Camden that is a vibrant part of our world city

Annex two is a list of key performance indicators, including the Best Value Performance Indicators that we are required to report publicly by statute, showing how we have performed against targets over the last year.

This document also reports on how the council and its partners have performed against the targets included in last year's Local Area Agreement.
