Better care choices is the way we provide care and support to adults in Camden.
It is part of a national change to transform adult social care called ‘personalisation’.
Better care choices aims to give local people more choice and control over the care and support they receive.
People new to adult social care are now being assessed using the better care choices approach and all of our existing customers will be reviewed in this way.
Our aim is that by April 2011, 30 per cent of our customers receiving adult social care services will have a personal budget, deciding how they will spend it to meet their care and support needs.
