The Sustainability Task Force is an all-party body of councillors concerned about climate change and the end of cheap oil ('Peak Oil'). The Task Force supports Cllr Alexis Rowell, Camden's Eco Champion.

Meetings start at 6.30pm in Camden Town Hall, and are open to all, so please come along.

Next Task Force meeting Thursday 2 July. We'll be discussing whether we should we allow developers to install or fund offsite renewables as well as or in place of onsite renewables? What would constitute acceptable offsite renewables? A solar panel on the other side of the borough? An anaerobic digestion facility just outside London? A wind turbine in the Thames Estuary? Shares in companies that produce renewable energy? Also what we can do about the plight of our bees?

2009 meetings: 2 July, 30 September, 25 November
