How can we Help You

After a decision has been made

After we have made our decision about a planning application, we will send the applicant/agent a formal letter outlining whether permission has been granted or refused.

Planning permission or consent granted

Where planning permission or consent is granted, there may be conditions and time limits imposed on the works themselves to bring the application into line with our planning policies. The information within this section will help you understand how long planning permission lasts for, how to extend the time limit, what to do if conditions are attached to a permission or consent, and what to do if you need to amend your plans.

Appealing against a decision

If you are unhappy with a decision that we have made concerning a planning application that you have submitted (or an enforcement notice that you have been served), you can launch an appeal. The information within this section will help you understand what types of decisions can be appealed, who can make an appeal and how an appeal can be submitted.
