- Looking for a job or training?
It can be a struggle to find a job, especially when you’ve been out of work for a while. There are a number of organisations who can help you decide what you want to do and the steps you need to take to get back into work. They can help you prepare your CV, complete application forms, practice for interviews, and assist you in finding jobs to apply for.
Camden has a large number of education and training providers, who offer courses you can access to develop your skills so you can find a job, or change career. Courses are at a variety of levels and in a range of subjects, including English, maths, ESOL, computer skills (ICT). You can also study courses linked to types of jobs including hospitality, travel and tourism, business and ICT.
These pages contain details of organisations which can help you develop your skills or get back into work - you can contact the organisations directly to find out more about the type of support they offer and if this is suitable for you.
Apprenticeships
If you are aged 16-24 years old, and don’t have a degree or level 4 qualification, apprenticeships can be a great way to earn and learn. Camden has two projects which have apprenticeship vacancies, and provide you with support to help you access these:
- King’s Cross Construction Skills Centre
- Camden Apprenticeships for all other types of apprenticeships (e.g. business administration, customer service, care work, hairdressing etc)
