Mobility scooter and electric wheelchair training DVD
A new training DVD will help over 300,000 mobility scooter and powerchair users in the UK get where they want to safely and confidently, thanks to Camden ScootAbility.
More and more people are buying mobility vehicles on the internet or second hand and may not realise the dangers if misused.
The DVD is for anyone who uses a mobility scooter or electric wheelchair, their friends, families and health professionals.
It is in three sections:
- scooters
- powerchairs
- frequently asked questions
The DVD uses animated characters (pictured) to illustrate information and situations simply and in an easy to understand format. Subtitles and sign language options are available.
The DVD isn’t intended to replace hands-on formal training, but it does offer help to people who use a mobility vehicle but have received no formal training. Find find out more about ScootAbility and training in Camden.
