Paralympians help Camden sports clubs make the most of 2012
The Camden Sports Academy will host an Olympic and Paralympic Games themed evening in Camden Town on Tuesday 24 April, featuring a panel of Paralympians, sports professionals and talented young athletes.
Fun and thought-provoking activities will pose the question ‘are you ready for the Games?’, and explore how local sports clubs and groups can benefit from the enthusiasm and interest in sports generated by the 2012 games.
It will include a Q&A panel featuring Paralympian swimmer Giles Long MBE, Phil Lane (GLL Head of Sport and Olympic Legacy and former CEO of British Paralympic Association), and Rob Richardson (GB 2012 Paralympic Volleyball Team captain). Giles Long will also give the keynote speech for the evening, and some of Camden’s most promising and talented athletes will be in attendance.
It will also be a fantastic opportunity for local clubs and groups to get together, share ideas and talk about how the 2012 Games can have a positive impact on sport in Camden, inspired by the panel.
The venue for the evening is Arlington Conference Centre, 220 Arlington Road London NW1 7HE. The event is free to local sports clubs and community providers of sport thanks to support from GLL and Sporting Champions.
To attend this event please email your name, organisation and contact details to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday April 20 2012.
