Help the Mayor raise funds for a Hear to Help project
Date: Feb 21, 2012
The Mayor of Camden, Councillor Abdul Quadir, is working with Action on Hearing Loss to raise funds for a Hear to Help project, which will provide volunteer support to help people look after and get the best from their hearing aid.
We’re delighted to say that thousands of pounds have already been raised. There’s still some way to go before reaching the target for the Hear to Help project though. If you’d like to donate, please visit the Action on Hearing Loss web page for the project.
By donating, you’ll be able to help the estimated 32,500 people with a hearing loss in Camden.
Here’s how your donations could help a Camden Hear to Help project:
- £10 could pay for a hearing aid battery test kit
- £20 could cover the costs of driving people with mobility problems to and from the Hear to Help service
- £30 could cover the cost of one volunteer’s hearing aid maintenance kit.
