Corporate/professional events
All permissions for events in Camden parks and open spaces are subject to approval.
Most events will be subject to hire fees and our charges will depend on the infrastructure required. Central London sites will start from approximately £2,000 per day.
Picnics
We encourage picnics for small family groups.
Please ask for permission only if you are
- expecting more than 15 people
- bringing structures, for example; gazebos, tables and chairs
- playing recorded or live music - visit temporary event notices for more information
It is not possible to give picnics exclusive and private use of a space.
Please respect the park - its wildlife, plants and trees; tidy up and take
rubbish away with you and have fun.

Barbecues
Can I use a barbecue in a Camden park?
No, we do not allow the use of BBQs in the parks to prevent damage to the grass, fire and injury risks.
Please do not attempt to light any type of fires in the parks.
Organised events managed by professional caterers may be able to use gas fired barbecues subject to certain conditions.

Quick tips
- Allow yourself enough time to plan properly.
- You’ll need about three months for a small event and six months, at least, for large-scale events and festivals.
New to organising events
Our guide to planning outdoor community events ‘Celebrate Camden’ is an easy read and recommended for newer event organisers, if anything it will jog your memory about things that you need to do.
All permissions for events in Camden parks and open spaces are subject to approval.
Book your venue first
A park is a venue too - contact the events team as soon as possible to book your event site. The summer can get really busy so don’t delay.
