The Paralympic Torch Relay is coming to Camden
The Paralympic Torch Relay will be in Camden on Wednesday 29 August as it makes its way to the Olympic Stadium for the Paralympic Games opening ceremony.
Where to view the Paralympic Torch Relay
Over the August bank holiday weekend flames from the capital cities of the UK’s nations will travel to Stoke Mandeville, home of the Paralympic Movement, where they will join together to create the Paralympic Flame.
The Paralympic Flame will then be taken on an overnight journey on 28 August from Stoke Mandeville to the Olympic Stadium for the Opening Ceremony of the Paralympic Games the following day.
The Paralympic Torch Relay route takes the flame through Camden on the morning of Wednesday 29 August.
Camden will welcome the Flame as it travels through Regent's Park with a celebration of sport (see below for more information).
The route
The flame enters Camden at 10.06am on Wednesday 29 August as it travels from Outer Circle in Regent's Park on Broadwalk.
The relay will then make its way along Broadwalk, past the animal enclosure and the Ready Money Fountain before moving onto Chester Road and then Outer Circle.
The relay will then leave the park and Camden at about 10.30am via Park Crescent into Portland Place in Westminster.
